More about our method

The communicative approach is based on the idea of producing meaningful communication as a way of acquiring a language, in other words, you will learn Spanish while you use the language to communicate, you will use the language to carry out tasks even from the very first lesson.
The method is student-centered: the teacher´s role is to establish a welcoming and positive learning environment, to introduce new content, to set up the communicative contexts and to motivate students. The tutor works as a facilitator that creates opportunities for interaction and communication in the class.
Typical situations during a lesson involve a series of activities in which the students need to use the language to find out information or communicate with peers in order to fulfill a task. When the language is used for carrying out tasks that are meaningful to the student, learning is promoted, and sometimes, even friendships.
Languages are part of culture so cultural references are often included (music, art, food, history, etc). Grammar is taught in context and authentic material is frequently used in our lessons (for example a real flyer from a restaurant in Spain, a visit to the webpage of a Mexican shop or a video of a Chilean youtuber, music in Spanish, etc).
